That's it : Processor fan....wich seems to be not working well, then done an Up charge og Heat..

By another side : This darned XP, changed my Partitions from Fat 32 to NTFS by its own ....resulting in a complete convertion of the hole system !!

they promised me that i could take my PC back home for tomorrow, we'll see what came up with!!

I'll use Final Data software for recovery, this soft is absolutly amazing !!!

There was this great video I saw once (was it on YouTube?  Can't remember) that showed various computer processors running QuakeIII.  They used some fancy laser-thermometer to measure the heat with and without the fan and pulled the CPU fans off midway through each test.  The games almost immediately started twitching and the temperatures shot up greater than 400 degrees!  One of the processors actually caught fire and melted the solder on the board.  Can't remember which type it was, though: methinks an AMD.

I think it was AMD. I remember someone told me (this was back in the Pentium 4 days) that Intel chips were better because if they overheated they shut off until they cooled down or something like that. Of course I like AMD because they run faster than the clock speed and the cost less. Go AMD!!! Wink

AMD rocks!  I love the fact that the underdog in the industry suddenly swept the market with a new 65nm chip process.  AMD was licensing their chip technology to Intel for a sweet change.  Oh the irony!  Cheesy

I have a dual core 64bit AMD processor each core clocked at 2.0Ghz. It is sweet. I'm thinking about getting a quadro though. jk.

I wish you luck. Hope all goes well with the partitioning. BTW, if you have trouble with Partition Magic, use Paragon Partition Manager 2005. It is free and works better than partition Magic does. When I was partitioning to get ready to put Vista on a separate partition I needed to allocate more space to my G partition by taking it from the C partition. Partition magic decided that my C drive was full even though I had like 150 gigs free. lol. So I got Paragon and it did the partitioning that Partition Magic would not.

Nerio, any way you can send me that Photoshop file that you want a tutorial made of?  I can probably tell you in 5 minutes if I can put together a tutorial on it or if it'll be too difficult to do without having created the file.

Sorry to hear about your machine Nerio... loss of data is something I know all about!

That's worth knowing haxer... I bought PM just before Xmas and it has proved to be totally useless. Whenever I want to put another OS on a new Linux partition it still wants to overwrite the local C drive (  Huh)

Yes it's kinda a loss, but if i made it once, i can make it twice even if it'll takes a year to release, and Sg-1 theme will born, but i dont know when, just the time to arrange my ideas, and i'll start over again on the creation !! Grin ....yes yes.....you can call me ROCKY LOL LOL  Evil

For the PC, it might be an excellent idea about a good powerfull Laptop, as P4 or better, with some graphics card that ensure working, a DVD Burner for storing works, and a big space in HD and RAM,... but they are really expensive here....it will take me 3 years of earning before i can even think by buying a simple P2 !! Shocked Sad .....have no choice, i will wait and see how things will come!! maybe doing a prayer for a miracle  Cheesy Grin

You should definitely check out Paragon then. Free is sometimes better Grin

Hmmm... I was given a link in the Aston forums to a site that was giving away Paragon free, legally, I'll see if I can find you that link.
